Privacy Policy

Who we are

Gordian Advisory LLC ("we", "us") operates this website and the Money Type test. Contact: hello@8moneytypes.com.

What we collect

Quiz answers. Your 30 answers and the resulting type code. These are stored without your name or email unless you choose to provide one, and are used to improve the test (for example, checking that types are evenly distributed).

Email address. Only if you enter it to save your results. We use it to send your result link and share card, a short series of emails about your type, and occasional news about new tests. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Purchase records. If you buy a report, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details; we never see or store your card number. We store the Stripe session ID, your email, your type code, and the amount paid, so we can deliver your report and process refunds.

Usage data. We use analytics tools (PostHog and the Meta Pixel) to understand how people move through the site — which pages are viewed, where the quiz is abandoned, and whether ads lead to completed tests. These tools set cookies. You can block them with your browser or a content blocker and the site will still work.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share your email with anyone except the services that send email on our behalf. We don't make automated decisions about you that have legal or similar effects — a personality type is not a credit decision.

Affiliate links

Reports and emails may contain links to third-party products. If you sign up through one of those links we may earn a commission. Those links are marked. Clicking one takes you to the third party's site, which has its own privacy policy.

Service providers

We use Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Loops (email), PostHog (analytics), and Meta (advertising measurement). Each processes data only as needed to provide its service.

Retention

Anonymous quiz answers are kept indefinitely for research. Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, after which they are removed within 30 days. Purchase records are kept for seven years for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop emailing you, by writing to hello@8moneytypes.com. If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or the CCPA, and we'll honour them.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 16 and we don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we'll update the date above and, for email subscribers, tell you by email.
